Is this program for you?
You’re a Black Woman Leader Looking to Make an Impact
Black women are leaders in their own right. We lead our homes, in our organizations, at work and our lives. Build My Sister, is unlike any other leadership cultivation and development program in that the entire focus is to build awareness of disparities, provide a framework to bridge the gaps, focus on impacting Black women, with an end goal of impacting the Black child. The Black child could be in our homes, in our families and in our communities. So no, you don’t have to be a mom to be in this program. You don’t have to be a leader in your organization or workplace yet. However, if that’s your desire, you very well could be when you finish. If you are in a leadership role, you will be very qualified to advance when you finish. What you must be, to be a part of this program, is a Black woman who wants to make an impact not just with yourself, but with your community and most importantly, Black children. The experience will allow you to take what you are learning and personalize it to where you are in your life based on your experiences.
Why is this impact so important?
Apply what you learn to multiple areas of your life
You will use the theoretical framework to apply what you are learning to your home, organization and work life. You will have a better understanding of who you are as a Black woman and your need to impact the Black community. You will be equipped with skills to lead or advance in the workplace with Create and Educate providing awareness of the skillset and advantage you bring the organization. We also provide awareness about disparities and seek partners to bridge the gaps. All of this while collaborating with other phenomenal Black women.
